Lamps

LKH Lamps Sdn Bhd ("LKH Lamps"), formerly known as Eastern Lamps Sdn Bhd, was incorporated in Malaysia on 3 July 1982. The principal activity of LKH Lamps is in the manufacture and sales of fluorescent and incandescent lamps. It began its production in 1985 in its Kota Bahru factory under the brand names of EYE, LUMELUX and CROMPTON.

In April 2001, Equalight Resources Sdn Bhd, an 85% owned subsidiary of Tai Sin Electric Cables Manufacturer Limited, acquired LKH Lamps. The factory in Kota Bahru was relocated in September 2001 to Kuantan as part of the Tai Sin's consolidation and rationalisation exercise to streamline and reduce production costs.

LKH Lamps is currently producing fluorescent and incandescent lamps under its own LKH brand name together with other brands under manufacturing license from brands such as BRITMEX, CLIPSAL, CROMPTON, DANA, DAVIS and EYE.

The LKH brand of fluorescent and incandescent lamps are distributed directly to dealers around Malaysia through its wholly-owned subsidiary LKH lightings Sdn Bhd, and exported to Australia, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Fiji Island, Nepal, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and include countries in the Middle East such as Kuwait, Oman, U.A.E., Qatar, and Yemen.
